Grip Tech Flooring is proud to have completed a successful project for the United States Coast Guard. We recently finished refinishing a 30,000-square-foot concrete floor in an airplane hangar.
The large concrete refinishing project was completed in four weeks and included the application of urethane cement.
The new aviation floor coating provides a safe and slip-resistant surface for the hangar’s aircraft.

The Challenge – Choosing Urethane Cement For Long Term Performance
The US Coast Guard Airplane Hangar concrete floor we completed recently received a complete resurfacing with Tnemec urethane cement. It was a job that called for precision and high-quality materials that could withstand the test of time.
Concrete is an incredibly durable material but over time it can suffer from wear and tear due to weathering, UV rays, abrasion, and more.
This was the case for the USCG Airplane Hangar. The 30,000 sq ft area needed to be completely resurfaced in order to ensure its longevity.
The challenge here was to find a product that would provide superior protection from the elements while also being aesthetically pleasing.
